    Nicely described video on the iridium Extreme 9575. We are one of the very few iridium Authorized Repair Centers that perform many different repair services on the iridium Extreme 9575 & other iridium models over the last 10+ years. Through the course of its use since 2012 to the current 9575N we assist the manufacturer with noted in field analysis to make sure it stays as rough/ tough like you noted & that it stays reliable in all areas of environmental types of use. So you described the ruggedness very well as that is one of its many strengths. Some of the things many don’t realize about the iridium 9575 is that it has military seals all over & inside the device to protect against things like the dust in your video from getting into sensitive areas. The cool thing about the 9575 or 9575N is that when it’s sent in for a repair that involves opening the phone like a damaged antenna or LCD screen they actually end up getting their same 9575/957N device back refurbished looking new. The reason for this is because there are special IP65 rated seals and more that need to be replaced & reinstalled so that when it put back together the satphone is back to its original water resistant, dust resistant rugged status. We enjoy working with many testing specialists on UA-cam like yourself that reach the public to help them not just with any support you may need , but also to help assist you with need to know features that may help your followers get the right device for their safety, out in the bush, mountains, water or other. If you need any help with your followers with questions on the iridium 9575/9575N Extreme Satellite Phone , we would be more than happy to help you with anything from support or repair assistance, but also to help promote you on our site so that people go to you to see how to use or understand the device or many other devices you may wish to talk about on your UA-cam channel. Feel free to contact us or collaborate together with test equipment & support at support@northernaxcess.com or call/text at +1.619.207.4117 or our website At NorthernAxcess.com By the way, nice frontend picture for the video. Sincerely, The NorthernAxcess Support Team

      I came across this video also. Thought it would be good but the controlled testing was pretty average. Test shows the driver coming off the accelerator prior too braking and they were putting the foot on the brake when they came to the witches hat. To much human intervention resulting in too many variances. The new brakes were probably better but seriously not a controlled testing process.

    HI Gavin, Those figures don't add up...I am think he is getting his performances specs wrong as our 2019 twin turbo L/Cruiser Diesel engine produces 210kw (286 hp) 650 N/M standard. i know this video is 4 years ago...however, I'm confused about what was said at the 10minute 40 second mark in the video... increasing the turbo boost and various other mods bumps up performance to 240 horsepower and the torque from 650 to 800 N/M torque. Seems to me that he has confused the base factory specs of the single turbo (151kw, 202hp, 430N/M) with twin turbo (210kw, 286hp, 650N/M)? So what would the performance increase be for the twin turbo model? Would it be 360hp? Also, I am not convinced the torque improvement on the twin turbo would be only 800N/M if increasing turbo boost of the single turbo model by 4 psi is going to increase the N/M torque to over 800N/M? Makes me wonder whether or not the remapping is worthwhile? Torque convertor lockup definitely seems a good idea for fuel economy...i think that may be a good option.

    Hi Gavin. Your videos are awesome! I have enjoyed watching this CSR series a number of times now. Have finally sorted my Leave for 2023 and will be heading North to South also along the CSR. I am just trying to sort my itinerary out (roughly). Would you mind letting me know how many days you were on the route and the areas/ well's you stayed at. I have roughly worked out 47 first night, 40, then near 36, then 33 near Kunawarritji, then 30 and then possibly 26? These are only rough obviously, but just want an idea on how many days roughly you were on the track. Thank you very much in advance for any advice. Adam

    Gav thanks.. what is your settings for the bp1 ? Can you do that for me! Thanks

    • @GavinGillett
      @GavinGillett 2 роки тому

      My settings wont help you. The total weight of the car, the distrobution of weight north and south. The speed ou drive on track all play a part to the comfort of the ride. However, what i can tell you is that the majority of terrain I encounter is harsh corrugations. WA is a very flat state so I dont find myself rock hopping that often. My vehicle was run with suspension configured to move fast, compress fast (soft) and rebound fast (firm) - onroad in my daily commute it was a little stiff and not as comfortable as it could be. But when fully loaded she was perfect. When driving on a beach or a mountain trail I have a different configuration. I always setup my suspension for the hard work of offroading, not the easy commute. Primarily because its not that easy and convenient to change it all the time with the ammount of 4wding I do. Its very hard to give you settings because i change mine all the time. My vehicle weights 3.8t and that is mostly to the rear (60/40) My settings for a beach or high speed trail are drasticly different to the settings i use on corrugations or a slow rocky track. My suggestions is, start with the defualt settings and drive many types of terrain. Aim to keep your vehicle level and the wheels attatched to the ground at all times and then adjust for traction then comfort. Hope that helps :D

    • @GavinGillett
      @GavinGillett 2 роки тому

      A lot, that was hard testing and not all the tests made the video e.g I messed up the recording or missed the marker. However, I dont recall exactly how much but it was roughly 1/4 of the pad was used in testing. In addition, I noticed the most wear when breaking in mud. After a long day of driving through flood waters and mud I noticed significant wear. Over all, the pads didnt last as long as normal pads (partly due to the test) but did perform significnatly better.
